We finally told our neighbors about the baby, including the two kids who adore Darren. The kids are Brandy (11) and Nicko (12). They immediately started coming up with name suggestions for us. Here are some of their favorites:
- Stewie
- Quagmire
- Hannah Montana
- Kyle (followed by a discussion of whether Kyle was or was not a Jewish name, and whether we were or were not Jews)
- Eric
- Stan
- Phil
- Oprah
- Freddy
- Jason
- Chuckie (after which they started reciting what were apparently lines from those movies with the scary doll that wants to kill you)
- Playstation
- United States
Nicko also suggested Barney and said there had been a kid in his class by that name. I said, “But then everyone would always sing that I love you, you love me song to him all the time!” Nicko said, “Yeah, we did sing that song to him.” Barney is clearly ruined as a name for at least the next 50 years.
Feel free to leave your own humorous baby name suggestions for us. We’ve already eliminated Pubert, Sherbert, and Squarepants, so don’t bother suggesting those. 🙂
I second Playstation!
Dad suggests Kelsey, since that works for both genders, and I think he’s onto something!!!! Only I know Kristin said she doesn’t like the gender-neutral names.
Well, I only said Kelsey, ’cause it sort of rolled along with Funk Neubauer. But then I realized it is just a two syllable thing, and I am liking “Stewie”.
How ’bout Aimlyn?
Some good girl ones:
Keelyn/Keelin: means “fair”
Sophie/Sophia
Zoe
Piper/Pyper
Eowyn(A-win, or a-O-win)
Teagan
Kiera
Deirdre
I’ll keep thinking….
